After the virality of the Strap Chair, I began thinking about a more commercial product that could be made. A simple strap stool was the first idea, and I was drawn to the simplicity of a wood box. I made a prototype out of pine and wove a strap through the four sides to hold it together. I used the prototype in the studio as a makeshift seat and stepstool for several years before producing the final version. Multiple boxes can be strapped together to create seating, shelving, or display units. It has a running box joint which allows for small or large square units as well. Purchase on Jex.us.
